ST-AR-014
The ST-AR-014 is a small-batch, sculptural concrete stool designed and handmade in Brooklyn, NY. Raw yet refined, it balances functionality with an imagistic presence. Serving equally well as a stool, a side table, or as a modular element when paired with additional pieces from the Strata series.
Cast through a slow, hand-worked process, each stool begins with a hand-hewn mold that introduces subtle irregularities and a natural, Wabi-Sabi sensibility. The rounded, three-legged form creates a grounded silhouette with a soft verticality, making the piece feel simultaneously primal and modern. Variations in tone, texture, and surface pattern are intentional signatures of the studio’s material-driven approach.
At 54.4 lbs, ST-AR-014 has a satisfying weight and presence, yet its scale keeps it versatile in both intimate and open spaces. When grouped with others, the pieces interlock visually to form larger coffee-table–like configurations, revealing the modular logic behind the design.
Part of the ongoing Strata collection, this piece continues Concrete Poetics’ exploration of mass, rhythm, and the tactility of cast concrete. Each stool is made to order in small batches, ensuring attention to detail and the uniqueness of every object.

Note: These pieces are not mass-produced. They are handmade locally in New York City, on-demand or small-batch, using artisanal mold-making and casting techniques. They are susceptible to inaccuracy and deviation during the making of the casts. Therefore the executed pieces are not identical to those shown in the pictures.
